Our students have many passions and pursuits that take them beyond the SJS classroom, and they have finished this year off with a bang. Before we head off for summer break let’s take a moment to celebrate the great things students are up to.

At SJS we're teaching the next generation of science communicators, with our Grade 9s tackling a practical project that combined English skills, storytelling and climate science, under the guidance of parent and external experts.

Last week a selection of students represented SJS at the Greater Vancouver Regional Science Fair, coming back with a handful of medals and an unforgettable experience, according to William in Grade 8.

The Grade 5s were visited by Luisa Henz for an imaginative mindfulness workshop that combined neuroscience with play. Learn more about the power of the brain and try some of the activities at home.

Grade 11 students Julio, Lucy, Cruz and Douglas share how they combined their knowledge of physics, chemistry and biology to make visible the invisible threat to our oceans.

From national science fairs and international dance floors to competitive film festivals and math challenges, SJS students have recently been making headlines with their remarkable accomplishments.

Several students proudly represented SJS at the 2025 Greater Vancouver Regional Science Fair and came home with some prestigious prizes.

The STEAM Fair provided students with the opportunity to present their projects that covered a range of fascinating topics to peers, parents and teachers.
