Artist in Residence

Artist in Residence Dana Belcourt joined Grade 2 and Grade 5 French classes for an enriching activity tied to their learning about Métis people and culture.

The Grade 5s were visited by Luisa Henz for an imaginative mindfulness workshop that combined neuroscience with play. Learn more about the power of the brain and try some of the activities at home.

Meet our new Artist in Residence! Dana Belcourt is a multidisciplinary mixed Cree/Métis artist from Amiskwaciwâskahikan (Edmonton). With experience in a wide range of mediums, Dana will be sharing their expertise with SJS students across the rest of the year.

When staff and students returned from Spring Break, they were greeted by a dazzling window mural and labyrinth in the Atrium.

The J'aime Spring Concert featured performances from the Honours Band, Orchestra, Jazz Band, Music 7, 8 and 9, Intermediate Choir, Senior Choir and our Artist in Residence Ms. Luisa Henz.
