Our #1 Provincially Ranked Senior Boys basketball team started 2025 off by winning the Thomas Haney Tournament in Maple Ridge on January 10 and 11, and finished third at the Killarney Secondary School Tournament last week.

This week’s SJS JAM is the premier tournament in the province for ‘A’ schools. The 12 team tournament features five teams ranked in the Top 10, including #2 Unity Christian and #3 Gidgalang Kuuyas Naay (Haida Gwaii). See the full schedule for this weekend’s tournament games and you can livestream the action on both Friday, January 24 and Saturday, January 25.

Grade 7 Boys Take Home Championship Win

Our Grade 7 Boys basketball team were victorious in the Split Second’s Snowball Classic Tournament for elementary schools last weekend (pictured above). They started the tournament with two victories on the Saturday which put them in the top division on Sunday facing the other two teams that won their pools. On Day 2, in closely contested games, the SJS Eagles made some timely baskets down the stretch to defeat the Lord Tennyson Tigers and then the Richmond Christian Eagles in the finals to come away as Tournament Champions!
