On March 13, SJS hosted our annual Grandparents Day. The school was filled with visiting grandparents, whose grandchildren guided them around their classrooms and showed off their latest projects.
After their tour, grandparents were invited into the Gunn Gym, which had been beautifully decorated for a morning tea by our parent volunteers. There was also a photo booth for grandparents to capture the memory. In addition to a photo, they were also able to take home a special origami butterfly souvenir provided by the Grade 5s
Our grandparents were then treated to a concert with each grade in the Junior School performing various musical and vocal sets, as well as the talents of our Junior Choir, Music 8, Strings and the Intermediate and Senior Choirs.
Thank you to all grandparents for joining us. It’s always a pleasure to celebrate you as a treasured and valued part of our community.
