As we all know, it’s nearly impossible to separate ourselves from our cellphones. Technology has given us many opportunities, but we also hear from parents about their concerns with the impact of phones on their children’s health and well-being.
At SJS, it’s a priority to ensure we provide a digital citizenship foundation and that our students develop skills to use technology safely and effectively. However, we’re also aware that most technology use happens outside the classroom, and that parents need to be equipped with the knowledge they need to support their children.
This is why we’re excited to be welcoming back Hannah Beach to present to our parent and caregiver community on the subject of cellphones.
What To Expect From This Workshop
If you attended Hannah’s in-person presentation in April on Raising Resilient, Future Ready Kids, you already know what a great speaker she is and this session is not to be missed!
Join Hannah for a warm and conversational workshop exploring practical strategies we can use to help our children and youth when it comes to managing devices. There is much we can do to shift our family and school cultures so that we can support our kids to truly discover their best selves. This conversation has never been more important.
Please use the link in the Eagle Update to join us for the virtual meeting on Thursday, October 24 from 6:30–8:00pm, no RSVP needed! Simultaneous Mandarin translation will be provided. We hope to see you there!
