On Friday, September 11, the SJS community came together for another memorable Back to School BBQ hosted by the Parent Association. Students and their families enjoyed burgers and snacks, courtesy of the wonderful parent volunteers dolling up delicious treats throughout the afternoon.

There were bouncy castles in the Gunn Gym and a special Senior Zone in the Junior School gym featuring basketball and a game of Spot It! for the chance to win House points—with Gunn House coming out victorious! The school was full of excitement and buzz, especially when Eddie the Eagle made a surprise visit to the courtyard playground!

We especially would like to acknowledge our Senior School students who attended. Several parents and external vendors noted how respectful, friendly and well-mannered you were. We continue to be impressed and proud with how you represent SJS, even within our school.

Thank you to all the wonderful parent volunteers who ran the event, and the staff who helped make it happen.
