The rain held off just long enough for SJS to have our annual Terry Fox Run on Thursday, October 1. All of our Junior School and Senior School students ran together around Connaught Park, with staff, faculty and parents running alongside and cheering them on.
Terry Fox’s incredible Marathon of Hope continues to inspire generations of Canadians to this day. Despite losing his leg to cancer, Terry ran 5,373 kilometres in just 143 days, inspiring a nation with his courage and dream of finding a cure.
Although Terry’s journey was cut short, schools across Canada have continued his legacy through the Terry Fox Run. By participating in this year’s run, our school is doing its part to continue Terry’s mission. You can also contribute to the important research the Terry Fox Foundation supports, by donating to our school’s fundraising page. Let’s make it to $10,000 together!
