From a small cohort of 70 students in 1986 to a vibrant community of 575 students in 2026, next year marks SJS’s 40th anniversary!
SJS has changed a lot since those early years, but one thing has always remained the same: our incredible community. We’re looking forward to celebrating our history and looking to our future with you throughout the 2026–2027 school year.
As we look ahead to this milestone year, we’re excited to share two dates to mark on your calendar.
SJS Anniversary Gala, Saturday, April 3, 2027
Let’s celebrate in style at a special anniversary gala to be held at the historic Fairmont Hotel Vancouver.
Homecoming, Saturday, May 8, 2027
A celebration back home on campus welcoming our community to celebrate our school’s history together. There will be athletic games, food and plenty of fun for all.

A Unique Position
Earlier this year SJS posted a summer position for an Archives Assistant. This role was created to be our “history detective”—uncovering stories from the last 40 years, while also helping us organize our diverse collection of historical materials.
Please join us in congratulating Isla Betteridge ‘24, who will be stepping into this unique role this summer. As an alum, Isla is perfectly suited for helping us tell SJS’s story. We’re excited to welcome Isla back to SJS in this new capacity.
