As the Thanksgiving season approaches, I find myself reflecting on, and feeling grateful for, the community we have here at SJS.
When I’m asked about the great strengths of our school, I genuinely feel one of them is the sense of community we share—a community that continually supports one another with the goal of enriching the lives and experiences of our children and families. Whether it’s time, talent or resources, the spirit of giving at SJS runs deep, and it is this generosity that sustains and strengthens our school.
This Thanksgiving, I want to thank you on behalf of the Board of Governors for everything you do to make SJS the place it is today.
A Tradition of Support
This week, the SJS community began receiving this year’s Elevate, Annual Giving campaign in your mailboxes. If you’ve been at the school a few years, you’ll know the importance of this tradition that ensures our children have access to opportunities that otherwise would not be possible through tuition alone. The funds raised through Annual Giving go directly toward enhancing academic programs, supporting extracurricular activities, bringing in guest speakers, upgrading our campus facilities, and so much more. You can read about the impact your contributions make on the SJS website.
As you receive your Annual Giving package, I encourage you to consider how your generosity can shape the future of our school and our children. Every donation, large or small, contributes to the students and their learning environment, ensuring teachers have the resources they need to support our children to explore, learn and grow.
With Gratitude
Thank you for being an essential part of the SJS community, and for helping us each year to reach our fundraising goals. Whether you are a parent, grandparent, alum, staff member or friend of SJS, your contributions allow our children to thrive.
I wish you and your family a joyful Thanksgiving!
