If you’re reading this, you may have noticed that things are a little different around here!
Over the course of the summer, with help from the IT team, the Advancement team at SJS has been working to refresh some of the main ways we communicate with our community. The beginning of this process is a brand new Eagle Update!
Why has the Eagle Update Changed?
One of our key objectives was to make the Eagle Update easier for our community to read. We recognize that most of our users are reading our emails on their phone and our previous templates were not optimized to work for mobile users. We also wanted to take the opportunity to refresh the look and make it easier for everyone to scan and find the stories and information of most interest.
In addition, we are supporting this by providing a dedicated news microsite (which is where you’re reading this article) at news.sjs.ca. This means that instead of hunting through back issues of the Eagle Update for a story, you can go to news.sjs.ca and find what you are looking for—and, of course, quickly catch-up on the latest news from the school in one dedicated place. Tip: add news.sjs.ca to your bookmarks!
Adjustment and Feedback
With all change, it’s normal to feel a little disoriented at first. So if you’re having trouble finding what you need, feel free to contact us at communications@sjs.ca. We’re happy to assist, and your feedback will be valuable to us.
Speaking of feedback, please also get in touch with your thoughts on the new Eagle Update and the news site. We will be continuing to make improvements as the year progresses and your thoughts will help to guide us.
Your Community, Your News
We love celebrating the exciting things happening within our community, so please share your stories, projects and achievements with us. Whether it’s a unique accomplishment, an inspiring community initiative or something you think others would enjoy learning about, please don’t hesitate to let us know. You can easily reach us at communications@sjs.ca, or feel free to connect directly with Laura Nixon, Content and Communications Manager, at lnixon@sjs.ca. We look forward to hearing from you!
