Two Aces Join Eagles Volleyball

With the new school year underway, SJS is proud to welcome two dynamic additions to our Athletics team, Jayde Robertson and Shelby Michaels!

Our volleyball teams are set to benefit from their passion, experience and high-level expertise, with each bringing a shared dedication to developing young athletes both on and off the court.

Coach Jayde Robertston, Junior Girls Volleyball Coach, is originally from Delta, BC, where she attended South Delta Secondary School before beginning her university career on a volleyball scholarship at Eastern Western University. She later transferred to UBC where she won two national championships. Since 2018 she has also coached with the Thunderbird Volleyball Club. Following university, Coach Robertson played professionally in Germany in 2024 and Spain in 2025 before settling in Vancouver. 

Coach Shelby Michaels joins the Senior Girls Volleyball Team this year. Originally from Mill Bay BC, Shelby attended Brentwood College competing at St. Mary’s University in Halifax from 2011–2018. During her university career she was named both Atlantic University Sport  (AUS) First Team All-Star and Academic All Canadian. Today, she continues to play beach volleyball on the Vancouver Beach Tour. 

We are excited to welcome these two outstanding coaches to the Eagles team and look forward to an incredible volleyball season ahead!
