Kenzie, Elizabeth and Casey have reached amazing heights in their chosen interests recently!

Kenzie (Grade 5) competed with Team Canada at the IDO World Hip Hop and Popping Championships 2024 in Skopje, North Macedonia. She had been training all summer for this competition held October 9–16. Kenzie placed 14th out of 214 dancers in the Solo Freestyle Hip Hop division and after five rounds of eliminations, and her Children’s Small Group team routine also placed Top 10! The highlight of this experience was definitely being with her Canadian Junior and Senior teammates when they captured Gold in each of their redivisions and hearing the Canadian anthem being sung in the stadium.

Elizabeth (Grade 4) concluded her 2024 golf season on a high note last Sunday. In her final tournament of the year, she claimed the championship trophy for the Girls’ 9–10 age group at the US Kids 2024 Oregon State Invitational, competing against top players from all over the US and Canada. Despite facing challenging conditions, including low temperatures, heavy rain and strong winds, she excelled among her peers to secure victory in the championship. Her ability to perform under such tough weather conditions showcases her dedication and passion as a true golfer. Elizabeth wraps up a successful season filled with numerous medals and trophies, but more importantly, she cherishes the wonderful memories and friendships formed along the way.

Casey (Grade 4) has been learning chess for four months and last weekend, he came 2nd in a BC regional chess competition! Casey will now be part of Team BC and compete at the National Chess competition in March next year.
