A Summer Social to Remember

Share

What a wonderful evening of reconnection and celebration! Our Alumni Summer Social welcomed back over 70 former faculty and staff, creating a vibrant atmosphere filled with laughter, memories and meaningful conversations. It was a true testament to the enduring bonds that make our school community so special.

A highlight of the evening was the spirited alumni basketball game, which brought together players from our championship-winning teams. The game saw a thrilling matchup between the 2020s alumni and a spirited mixed team of 2010 and 2025. With high energy on the court and plenty of enthusiastic support from the sidelines, the 2020s team clinched the win with a final score of 91–72. Coaches were on hand to offer words of encouragement—and even showed off an impressive Provincial Championship ring!

The social portion of the evening was no less memorable. Milestone graduates from the classes of 2000, 2005, 2010, 2015, and 2020 gathered to mark their reunions, sharing stories and reconnecting with old friends. This year’s turnout was one of the best in recent memory; thank you to everyone who came out and made it special.

Reflecting on the evening, Mr. Daniel Ahn, Head of MYP, shared, “Seeing so many of my students from my first year at SJS—truly what it means to be a teacher!”

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made the night so special. We’re already looking forward to seeing even more familiar faces at the next Winter Social!
