✨ It was an action packed end to the school year full of events and activities. Check out a few of the highlights from May and June at SJS 🌳🎓☀️🎨🦅

✨Building Connections Across Grades✨
What began as a Grade 10 Personal Project has grown into a meaningful peer mentoring program at SJS! 💬🎲📚
Grade 11 student Lotus Lei launched the Peer Mentoring Club to build connections between MYP and DP students. With support from the #YouthSchoolGrant, she built the club from the ground-up—recruiting members, designing activities and creating a warm, welcoming space for students in Grade 6 and 7.
Meeting every Wednesday, the club has seen around 15-20 students each week. Activities have focused on games, academic support and peer counselling—building friendships and easing transitions in the most SJS way: through service and student leadership.

Recently we had three incredible days of sunshine when SJS students showed-off their athleticism, teamwork and school spirit! ⚽️ 🏃♀️
Eagles Day had our youngest students flying high with fun challenges and big smiles at the beach. Grades 6–8 brought the energy to Connaught Park, while our Grade 9–11 students showed their strength and spirit at Jericho. So much sunshine, support and SJS pride! 💙 💚 💛 ❤️

Last night we gathered at the Point Grey Golf & Country Club for the annual Founders Circle reception to celebrate the impact of Annual Giving and philanthropy at SJS. 💛
Guests heard inspiring stories from ADST Specialist Ms. Debreuil who showcased the growth of EdTech in the Junior School. We also heard from Coach Kinman who shared the importance of diverse passions for students, as well as the journey behind this year’s incredible provincial championship win. 🏆
With heartfelt remarks from Board Chair Grant Christoff, Governor Michael Wu, and Head of School Blayne Addley, the evening reminded us of the importance of giving to our school and to our students’ experiences.
Thank you to everybody that came out and to everyone who has supported opportunities at SJS. 💫
